Sofia Airport → Sveti Vlas

Sveti Vlas occupies the quieter northern end of Sunny Beach bay, where the coastline rises into low hills and the atmosphere shifts from big-resort energy to something closer to a yacht-club town. Its centrepiece is the Marina Dinevi complex, one of the largest and best-equipped marinas on the Black Sea, lined with cafés and seafood restaurants looking out over rows of moored yachts.

The beaches here are smaller and less crowded than the main Sunny Beach strip, and the Thracian Cliffs Golf & Beach Resort a little further along the coast has put Sveti Vlas on the map for golfers as well as swimmers. Everything Sunny Beach has to offer — nightlife, aqua parks, the old town of Nessebar — is a five-minute drive away when you want it, making Sveti Vlas a good compromise between quiet and convenience.
